June has certainly been another busy month.
We started the month by giving our narrowboat a little TLC. After plenty of preparation, we finally painted the roof. It's always satisfying to freshen up the boat, and although it's hard work, there's something special about looking back at a job well done. Life on the waterways is all about looking after your home, and every little improvement makes a difference.
We also had the pleasure of attending the event at Bradford on Avon, supporting the Kennet & Avon Canal Society to celebrate their 75th Anniversary was a wonderful day spent amongst fellow boaters, canal enthusiasts and visitors who share our love of the waterways.
One of the highlights was watching Paul demonstrate canal art. It was fantastic to see so many people stop to chat, ask questions and enjoy seeing heritage craftsmanship brought to life. Preserving and sharing these traditional skills is something we're incredibly passionate about, and events like these remind us just how much interest there still is in Britain's canal heritage.
Of course, no month would be complete without another adventure. June also marked the beginning of our epic journey back to the West Midlands with the Waka Butty. Every mile brings new scenery, wonderful conversations with fellow boaters and plenty of memorable moments along the way. Travelling with the butty always attracts interest, and it's lovely to meet people who appreciate these historic working boats and the stories they carry.
As always, we're incredibly grateful for everyone who stops to chat, supports our small business, purchases Paul's canal art or my macramé, or our Miniml cleaning refills, and follows our journey. Your encouragement allows us to continue living this unique lifestyle, celebrating traditional crafts and sharing our adventures on the waterways.
Now, as we continue our journey northwards, we're looking forward to seeing familiar places again, meeting new friends along the way, and sharing many more adventures over the coming months.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here's to whatever July has in store!
