Setting up the Waka Butty

Easter weekend was a good opportunity to trial trading off of the Waka Butty.

We were on the paid moorings for the first couple of days, then fortunately I spotted a ‘butty sized’ gap a little further back up the canal on the free moorings. With some jiggery and pokery and the help of a couple of other boaters we were able to fit her in the gap with our motor boat breasted up on the outside. Any of you who have boated in London will appreciate how lucky we were to be able to secure this spot for the next couple of weeks.

Paul’s off up to Bollington for a couple of days with Phil Speight this week, then he’s got some renovations to do on the back cabin of Tarporley next week in readiness for the Cavalcade, whilst also gettting some more stock painted for a busy May. Meanwhile I’ll be making up some more macrame storage hangers and shelves to add to our display.

We hope to see some of you at the Cavalcade in Little Venice at the beginning of May, Batchworth boat festival in the middle of May, or at Crick at the end of May.

Thank you all for your continued support.
